About UsGeoff Hauer, Principal at RES Services, began his real estate career in 1996 with the negotiation and purchase of his first investment property. An entrepreneur at heart, he started RES Services in 1998, offering appraisal-related services to residential clients and technology services to to the real estate industry. Geoff received his Masters Degree in Information Technology in 2000 from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver and soon partnered with a notable Denver real estate appraisal and consulting firm as their Director of Information Systems. The partnership allowed him to pursue his passions for the application of technology and real estate, enabling him to becomes a Certified General Appraiser soon thereafter. Simultaneously, Geoff became Director of Business Development and a Principal with Management Automation Group, Inc, a company that was instrumental in pioneering the application of mobile technology to the property management industry.
The lure of real estate pulled Geoff's focus back to appraisal as the demand for complex appraisal assignments from developers and lenders increased in the mid-2000's throughout Colorado. During this time Geoff appraised a wide variety of complex and unusual commercial properties for purposes such as investment underwriting, purchase and disposition analysis, litigation support and eminent domain acquisition. Growth throughout Colorado afforded the opportunity to appraise multiple large-scale mixed use developments throughout the far-flung reaches of the state. The experience and time spent in these locales built an appreciation for the need to balance necessary development with the rich scenic and natural environment found in Colorado, leading Geoff to expand his service offering to the niche of conservation easement appraisal. In 2011, Geoff again expanded his service offering, starting Cherry Point Properties, a boutique real estate brokerage based in Denver. This service expansion combines his deep understanding of the tangible and intangible nature of real estate and the property rights that underpin value with the insight and understanding of the contractual and negotiation process, all in the service of buyers and sellers throughout the state, helping his clients make good decisions in the purchase or sale of homes, condominiums, ranches and small commercial properties. Below you will find some brief information about Geoff's appraisal qualifications and experience |
